Staff Reporter: A delegation of the Bogura District Committee of the Bangladesh National Human Rights Association held a meeting on September 19 (Friday) with Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Bogura Sadar Circle, Md. Mostafa Manzur, PPM, regarding the ongoing drug and law & order situation in Bogura.

The discussion highlighted the current law and order scenario of Bogura, the initiatives to eradicate drugs, and the necessary steps to build a safe and peaceful city.

ASP Md. Mostafa Manzur, PPM, gave a firm commitment to making Bogura free from drugs and terrorism. He said that the police will continue their maximum efforts, and alongside this, the cooperation of the general public and social organizations is indispensable.

On behalf of the Bogura District Committee of the Bangladesh National Human Rights Association, President and Medical Technologist Md. Arman Hossain Dollar, General Secretary Md. Zahidul Islam Zahid, and Organizing Secretary Md. Sabbir Hossain Sabdul assured that human rights activists will always stand by the police in advancing social development and combating crime. President Arman Hossain Dollar further said that, along with protecting human rights, their association will continue to support all positive initiatives of the police to establish good governance.

Also present at the meeting were Senior Vice-President Md. Abu Raihan, Vice-President Advocate Md. Ayub Ali, Senior Joint Secretary Dr. A.S.M. Raihan, Joint Secretary Journalist Md. Atik Hasan, Health Secretary Md. Abdur Rashid, Freedom Fighter Affairs Secretary Md. Fozlu Sakidar, Assistant Labor Affairs Secretary Md. Al-Amin Hossain, Women Affairs Secretary Mrs. Hafsa Parvin, Assistant Women Affairs Secretary Sania Akter, and Social Welfare Secretary Mrs. Najma Akter Nargis, among others.
